The Muslim Personal Law is supposed to protect Women from discriminatory customary laws, but is very ineffective. Why does religion decide come over Law?

Muslim community being divided in itself into two sects shias and sunnis which are further divided into Ismailis, Bohras ,Ithna-Ashari and Hanafi, Shafi, Hanbali, Maliki respectively have their own interpretion of the shariat law which does not put much emphasis on the womens rights. The one and only muslim dominated state in india Jammu and Kashmir doesn't follow the shariat act it follows Sri Pratap consolidation of laws act. There is no uniformity in the laws followed by the whole community

Codification ensures the uniformity of the laws through out india and protect muslim women from exploitation a uniform civil code will be a right step towards ensuring muslim women their rights and granting them equality which is enshrined in the constitution.

The media and politicians don't even care about the prisoners who die in jail as they are already considered not worth living. It is a very sad state to see people brutal

It is not that the state is not concerned, almost 70% prisoners are under trials, fast tracking pending cases, providing prisoners update about their case proceedings, better functioning and accountability of NALSA. Also regular visits in prisons by government officials such as District/Judicial Magistrates along with pro active NHRC for monitoring of the functioning and ensuring basic facilities are being provided. Connecting prisoners with schemes like Make in India, Skill India to give them a meaningful life.

A manager's role in football is over-hyped.

With Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Conte and Wenger the Premier League has without a doubt become the most competitive and watchable league in the world. But when you see the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Dortmund during their games, the gulf in class is almost embarrassing. The Premier League teams are nowhere close to that level. With such teams being managed by far less experienced managers such as Luis Enrique, Zidane and Tuchel, one can't help but wonder how big really is the role of a manager? Maybe it's just having a good enough personality to act as an enabler between great players in a squad.

Exploitation of resources in Tibet will affect India badly in the future. Nationalist Indians should fight for Tibet to protect their own interest.

Supporting Tibet is in India's interest. The Chinese have been building dams over rivers that flow down to India; openly supporting Pakistan and opposing India in international forums.

By bringing Tibet to limelight like Balochistan, India can play a masterstroke.

This country needs a massive overhaul in its education system

The Educational standard of a country is both a growth propeller and a tangible result of greater human development. The biggest priority affecting the education sector which needs urgent attention is the insufficient public expenditure on education. While, the National Education Policies have mandated a spending of 6% of the GDP on education, the figure has never gone beyond 4.2%. Unless, education is accorded the primacy it deserves through

British couldn't colonize China as they did with India and the USA. Was China mighty even in colonial era?

China used to be one of the most fundamental centres of worldwide economic system during the 1700s, you had a affluent financial system, a flourishing Ch'ing empire, and a moderately oppressed individuals under them. There was no manner that Europe could compete with them on any financial ground and yet they did. They didn't colonize it in the best way that they did with the brand new World of the Americas. They did not go in with blatant drive, initiating a genocide, they weren't in a position of doing that here, and more importantly, didn't must. The chinese language had been afraid, and rightly so of allowing European retailers into their markets and simplest allowed confined exchange at Canton (Guangzhou). Of course this failed to fulfill Europe, which was once increasingly infatuated with Capitalism and Colonialism by now and desired larger and greater share available in the market. The problem used to be they had nothing to present by means of alternate, except..........

Dictatorship failed because of people who came to power not because it is flawed as a concept.

Usually when I hear about a dictator I think of someone that's power hungry and always ends up hurting the people in some way. Has there ever been a dictator that was somewhat nice or made really good decisions that benefited the people?
