Where is Young India? Are there any newcomes in Bollywood anymore?

The Khans who rule the roost are almost 50

So are Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.

John Abraham? 40s

The Kapoors are in their 30s (yes, Ranbir is 34 and Arjun 31!)

Where are the guys in their 20s?

For all this talk of a Young India with a median age of 22, where are the stars who represent them?

Had never really given it a thought that ways honestly, i just checked to see who are the young actors in bollywood and even google doesnt help me with that. Of the top 10 results i got 3 for actresses and rest all irrelevant (non described young). Th strong hold the existing stars have seems impossible to beat. Even with movies like prem ratan..., Happy New Year etc coming out, they are commercially successful and i have no idea why

Maybe Bollywood has lost its sheen due to the presence of such actors. As we can see, the trend of web series has really gained momentum in India. With series like TVF Pitchers, Bang Bajaa Baraat and TVF Tripling, the youth is getting into more meaningful cinema which peole their age can associate with to a larger degree.

True that, everyone is tired of watching the same old faces. Most of them like salman khan have even stopped acting yet people are going bonkers over their pictures. On the other look at the actresses, almost all are new and pretty young! There seems to be constant change in actresses but none in the actors. Sad

I think actors like Salman Khan set a horrible example for any budding actor wanting to do good cinema. It must be such a downer to see such idiotic films succeed. Why even enter the field when the metric for success is literally stupid.
