When it comes to quality discussions, Twitter is dead.

I've heard this statement from so many famous people. But is it really dead, considering that all of them are still active on Twitter? Are they present on that platform because they need to or is it really enjoyable for them? Not being a very active Twitter user myself, on the surface level all that platform seems good for is humour and controversy- further reducing the dwindling attention span of our generation.

Twitter's success (for users) is having all the celebrities there and showering thoughts

It's a platform to break any news and hence becomes important for so many people. It's a failure when it comes to being a platform to enable discourse

I won't call them a failure when it comes to that- they weren't even trying to become such a platform.

Twitter is not dead. It was not made for discussions. They had a simple message that people can group message to their friends family and FANS. People are trying to use it for discussions and Twitter should just adapt this change fast

So you're saying that "when it comes to quality discussions" Twitter was never alive?
