Reward of Rs. 10 lakh to first cashless village, but how can there be a cashless village without Governments Infrastructure?

Net Neutrality could have been a boon here! What all possible ways can there be to make a village cashless in India?

The purpose of demonetisation was to eradicate Black Money and Corruption, not to create, hence how a state government is offering public money for just following government order. Is this not corrupt ? Is this not a source for creating Black Money? Let the awards/rewards are restricted with honour of certificate. Ban all types of cash or Material awards of any nature. Let every state follow the orders carefully and establish/create a Black Money and Corrupt free village/state at least hereafter.

Considering that a third of Americans dont own a credit card, how do you define a cashless transaction economy? India is a unique country where people who cant read use smartphones and satellite data for farming. We will have our own definition of cashless economy and our usage of technology for transactions will determine how the rest of the world conducts business 10 years from now.

In Oct 3.2 million debit cards compromised; SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI, YES Bank and Axis, how can we even trust that digitalisation is anyway safe? The issue has not been address for several years now on the safety of debit & credit card transactions. First of all please generate jobs, create money in the hands of unemployed youth and then talk big bang surgical strikes. India''s unemployment data shows the highest in the last six years.

Waver or at least a substantial reduction in transaction charges; scrapping service tax on credit card transactions; demonitisation of high value currency notes effectively making it impossible to carry large amounts of cash; creating the requisite digital and financial infrastructure; etc., are some of the steps that can usher in the era of plastic money and curb effectively the scourge of black money. Afterall it is incorrect for banks to say that they have to levy transaction charges because every transaction costs them money, simply because every ATM transaction also costs money and the banks have very well discovered themselves that ATM transaction in the end prove much more economical than over the counter transactions. Over time it will be proved that the waver of all charges and levies on noncash transactions whether using plastic money or the various digital platforms will prove cost effective and taxman friendly; may be, in the long run making it possible for the government to lower tax rates also.
