Please raise your hand if you are with the Doval doctrine in Kashmir

Rohit pande had posted

Look at how it is being debunked as a doctrine.  Interesting arguments on that side. My 2 bits to add is also that whether India would be able to play the Doval doct

India at Paralympics 2016 full results: 4 medals, 3 4th places & another 3 personal bests

Govt can launch a widespread campaign based on the great show put up by our heroes, to inspire the new generation. Just invest 10% of the money in creating a culture.

A campaign similar to 'Think different campaign' something of that sort.

This country needs a massive overhaul in its education system

The need is to treat under grad as a basic building block and not the end of the world. Also there is a need to teach people that not everything is hierarchical (the common line post 10th boards- science stream>commerce>arts) rather enjoy learning the subject and excelling. Study to learn, marks will follow should be the motto taught to students.

please do try "Why Nations fail" by robinson and acermoglu. They empirically prove why dictatorships are bad. Dictatorships at their best are short term gain for long term massive pain and in the worst case short term pain for long term catastrophe.

Indian exams like JEE or CAT or GATE etc should follow footsteps of GMAT GRE SAT etc. as they have clearly produced better results.

Vikram Gupta had posted

On what basis can you claim they have produced better results? IITJEE and CAT are the two most competitive exams in the world, and they need to be so- they have to select

my follow up would be that is it necessary that the current "Indian set-up" be continued? No doubt tailoring is needed to suit our needs, but why hang on to a faulty system? An Indianized holistic test is needed.

Because it is in the name of religion, it must be true!

While celebrating Ganesh Festival people generally ignore the environmental impact of the resultant pollution- Air, Water, Noise, solid Waste, etc caused by various activities performed in the Puja.

People playing loud, shady music in the name of religion, polluting water, jamming roads justify their doings in the name of religion.
