Lets decriminalise drugs to end drug abuse:Global drug policy panel

What has prohibition done for us lately? Spawned 400+ and counting lethal nps's. Caused far more harm and killed many more people than even the hardest of drugs. It funds violent criminal gangs who our children will then come into contact with. This puts our children into contact with a variety of dangerous drugs. It strains police and nhs budgets. Promotes human trafficking etc etc etc.

Prohibition has failed so badly, i used to think only cannabis should be legal but now i think it has to be for all traditional drugs. It should have been done as soon as these awful nps's appeared and there would never have been a market for them.

The government will often say they will look at the evidence however the hypocrisy in their own laws is ridiculous. They have cannabis as schedule 1 of no medicinal value but allow gw pharma to grow cannabis and make a pharmalogicly identical product called sativex and schedule that at 4. So they say it has no medicial value but allow a big pharma company to grow it and sell the exact same thing and pretend its somehow different.

The temperature has barely risen. Something like 1.36 median. Also the polar ice caps have enlarged. Just take a look at Antarctica. If you want to try and prove me false then please do bring forth a source doing so. I would love to see what excuse you use to not post a source though.

This suggests that despite of having geographical, language and cultural differences, people of India are living with peace with respect for each others traditions and with unity." Banning Burqa and niqab in France, treating humans at par or hurting their religious sentiments

Forbidding a religious expression goes against the principles of secularism, people wearing burqa have no problem with carrying identity cards if necessary for security reasons so where is the problem? If you have no problem with your women wearing bikinis or going uncovered in the streets, you should not have a problem with women being covered completely, let them have a choice. secular countries should not have dress codes or question a woman's choice of dress if you were to follow secularism that you strongly advocate.

The numerous factors that made the IITs excellent are being whittled away by creating more and more IITs

I think that govt should invest in IITs instead of investing in primary education. Already govt has set up primary schools in almost every village of our country, but the problem is there are no properly qualified teachers to teach them. In some primary schools absence of teachers in classes has become a major problem. Its better to increase the teaching standards of existing primary schools. But many of the talented youth are unable to pursue further studies because of a limited number of IITs in the country. Not everyone could afford to study abroad. In such a case the talented students with low financial background are forced to stop their education in the middle. Therefore, I strongly feel that govt should make efforts in setting up new and better IITs in our country.
