All Hail Americas confused NeoLiberalism!

Most of Trump's voters are gun-obsessed, pathologically super-patriotic, racist and opposed to public healthcare. Their feelings and thoughts have not changed at all. He will have won some protest-votes too. But he won less than McCain and Romney in total. This election has not been decided by support for Trump. This election has been decided by lack of support for Clinton. Even though she won more votes than Trump, she did not win the electoral college. I think that is because she did not pursue a progressive agenda. Fearing to offend any reactionaries who would not vote for her anyhow, she reduced her message to some meaningless phrases. Her campaign was terrible. And probably she also was the wrong candidate to represent determination, hope and courage - after thirty years in politics posing as a new kid on the block is a bit difficult.

Racist attacks have broken out in the US after Donald Trump’s victory

As Trump was speaking, one person in the audience yelled “Hang Obama,” and online commentators spewed a steady stream of racist, sexist, and anti-Semitic messages on a YouTube livestream, directed to “Anti-whites,” “Killery,” and “Jews in Congress.” Self-identified Trump supporters are harassing minorities, and calling for more organized white supremacy.

Every country has motivation to grow their wealth. China is not the only one. However, only a few countries have actually carried out invasions, such as the U.S. and Britain. Which country is more of a threat? The one with one foreign military base or the one with 800?

Which one is more rogue? The one who hasn't invaded anyone else yet or the one who has already broken multiple international laws and invaded multiple countries with impunity? After 40+ years, Russia has served its purpose as an enemy for the military industrial complex. Besides, it's hard to continue believing that Russia is such a enemy when they keep declining in strength. Now, the U.S. needs to find another enemy. China is the logical one, because it is gaining strength.

Global warming the greatest scam in history - John Coleman, Co-founder Weather Channel

"The polar ice is increasing, not melting away. Polar Bears are increasing in number.
"Heat waves have actually diminished, not increased. There is not an uptick in the number or strength of storms (in fact storms are diminishing).

China's relationship with UK 'at risk' over Hinkley Point delay

How about investing the Hinkley money in other, far less expensive reactors like the Westinghouse AP1000. Or, if you want to invest in longer term, more speculative things, you could invest in advanced reactors or small modular reactors. Finally, hypothetical discussion of large scale storage aside, why is the Economist unable to recognize renewables fundamental intermittency limitation. They are simply unable to provide most, let alone all, the power. If they are indeed somewhat cheaper on a raw per kW-hr basis, thats less important than you think it is. The fact is that intermittent kW-hrs are worth less. I will cede one thing. The French nuclear industrys extreme, out of control costs and their recent record of failure building reactors is making the job of a nuclear advocate very difficult, if not impossible. They are giving the industry a bad name.
