Indian media is at its lowest point after Barkha Dutt and Arnab Goswami are taking each other head-on.

Hashtagging it doesnt take away from the fact that Goswami later openly calling for the trial of anyone who disagrees with him. Never mind the obvious conflict of interest nor the blatantly illiberal approach to commentary that doesnt fit into his worldview. "How long will we be silent against these elements?" he thundered. "Do these people compromise our national security or not? Your and my security. And if they do, which we know they do, why do you think we let them get away, why dont we take on these people?" The subtext for some of this might have come from a statement from Laskar-e-Tayyeba founder Hafiz Saeed to a Pakistani TV channel praising the Indian Congress and NDTVs Barkha Dutt for bringing up narratives other than the Indian governments, which insists that all unrest in Kashmir is created by Pakistan.

25 years since the '91 reforms and yet there is only 'Top-Down, not Bottom-Up' approach

In the process of so called socialist development model, we lost 2 decades. The same that made us lag behind Korea, China etc and now that finally we had turned the ship around what we needed was quick pace movement in the socio-economic reforms to cover the lost ground, but instead what we end up doing is pushing ahead reforms in stop-go fashion, Not in continuous and vigorous way, cant have intervals of such pauses. Like Dr. Manmohan said and echoed by yashwant sinha, rather than waiting for the pressure moments and then react. Why cant we pro act and be a step ahead
