2016 came with a lot of 'anti-liberal' decisions and policies! What exactly happened?

I think where the so-called liberals went wrong was to cease being liberals and to instead become libertarians. We need the exploratory outlook of liberalism, not the crassness of libertarian destroying the world while these evil little would-be caesars run around trying to fix things by offloading more and more on whoever they haven't managed to destroy yet.

Its not Russia because of which Hillary lost, it was the Internet. There is a much needed change in internet’s culture

Its not just the Social Media but the media itself. There is so much contradiction in what different Indian media says about the same incident. There is too much power with them, this was distributed to the people but then due to most of them being dim wits everything said there is considered true!

We have a bigger problem than ISIS and its called Jamaat-ud-Dawa. What exactly is it and how is it worse than ISIS?

Al Qaeda was and is a terrorist organization at war with the world. Its strategy is to destroy the infidel global system and replace it with an Islamic system. However, it did not have a plan to occupy territory and manpower to run a modern state. Al Qaeda does not have the manpower to run a modern state either. The same is true of ISIS. Both Al Qaeda and ISIS did capture territory and ran a modern state with the help of borrowed manpower. This is why they can and will be defeated.

JuD was conceived and created as an organization that can run a modern state. That is why JuD placed equal stress on recruiting its members from all professions and gives training to its members in all fields of statecraft. Unlike al-Qaeda and ISIS, JuD members come from or have penetrated all government departments, from the Pakistani military down to municipal councils. Unlike al-Qaeda and ISIS, JuD is capable of reinventing itself and surviving.

Making voting compulsory might solve a lot of problems for us

Before making the voting a compulsion, we definitely need to analyse the reason for which we are not getting the citizens out of their houses to decide the most important issue in the country? Despite the democracy, why are people so ignorant regarding casting their vote?

Reason is very much clear that people no more believe in any of the contesting candidates. The politics has become a mean game without any sort of healthy and appreciable moves. Many of those who vote just chose a candidate in order to excise their duty without any respect or expectations from the candidates. It is very important to have the NOTA, the no confidence note in the electoral selection process, so that people who do not want to choose any candidate, should have the power to announce that clearly. Only with such an option, it would be just to make voting compulsory.

For India, China emerged as bigger threat than Pakistan, with her ambitions and claims on Indian territory. With already facing trouble from Pakistan on either side of the nation and a turbulent Kashmir, it was in India's interest not to open another front with China. Then the infectious communist ideology, as thought by our statesmen could have posed a challenge to our democracy with the Chinese support. Hence India also found solace in the Panchsheel policies as she thought of containing China not with bullets but with the principles of Panchsheel.

The School Bag gets heavier, are we planting the seeds to a stressful society?

We remember carrying a very light (almost no weight) bag to school but nowadays young kids have to carry strollers to school because of the heavy weights, what is astonishing is the knowledge we gained 20 years back is the same these kids are gaining? Are we making their lives necessary stressful?

The wide range of subjects that one tackles in this information rich age, the extra weight of the working models and other paraphernalia have made the bags heavier to a dangerous level. This stands in way of development of a child and the country.

India used to be thought of as a country of snake charmers but luckily because of the persistent efforts of our PM Modiji India's real glory is being projected to the world hitherto not done by any PM.He convinced UN to declare world yoga day which was supported by almost all countries including majority of Islamic countries But in India those political parties and some religious organisations which have been appeased along with some media could not digest the good work of our PM have started giving it a political colour. But you cannot hide the sun using your hands

Something is better than nothing is not true for every aspect, and thus hiring retired teachers in schools might not be that great a step

This step just seems to fill in the gap for teachers, If there is shortage of teachers in any school, then the principal need not ask the deputy director or send the file to him. Now, the principals will be able to appoint retired teachers of government schools for such vacancies.

But most of the teachers are just not capable of teaching post retirement, how do we decide who stays and who doesnt, isn't this a way to support favouritism?

Germany is about to come up with a Nuclear FUSION reactor. Can it be economical and practical?

What happens to the rest of Clean Energy Startups?

Nothing has ever been attempted on the scale of Iter. The world record for fusion power – 16MW - was set in 1997 at the JET reactor in the UK. The longest fusion run – six minutes and 30 seconds – was achieved at France’s Tore Supra in 2003. Iter is aiming for 500MW and 50-minute runs

The site is a cathedral to the fusion dream: it spans the equivalent of 60 football fields and the reactor building will weigh 320,000 tonnes, all resting on rubber bearings in case of an unlikely, but not impossible, earthquake. The reactor itself will weigh 23,000 tonnes, three times more than the Eiffel Tower. It is the most complex engineering project in history.

Govt. has hiked the Minimum Support Price but shouldn't it first implement the existing prices

Nitin Gadkari publicly embarrassed Maharashtra’s minister of state for agriculture Sadabhau Khot, a firebrand farmers’ leader. Attending a public function in Nashik with Khot, Gadkari asked him to give up his demand for support prices for agricultural produce. Prices, Gadkari said, are now determined in the international market and are beyond the government’s control. The Modi government is displaying complete callousness in protecting even the existing MSPs. This is in spite of nationwide agricultural distress.

With Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa as the new Pak Army Chief, can the Indo-Pak relations improve?

He has commanded the 10 Corps, the army’s largest, which is responsible for the area along the Line of Control (LoC). Lt Gen Bajwa has extensive experience of handling affairs in Kashmir and the northern areas of the country. As a major general, he led the Force Command Northern Areas. He also served in the 10 Corps as lieutenant colonel, where he was GSO. Despite his extensive involvement with Kashmir and northern areas, he is said to consider extremism a bigger threat for the country than India!

He seems to be more sensible than Gen Sharif
