Also the BCCI is not the official representative body of Indian cricket. So either the Govt takes BCCI under itself, or let it function. Its a private body after all.

Will Indian culture slowly vanish with more and more western influence

I stay in Bangalore and yesterday seemed like a normal day in there city.

I am from a small town and we used to celebrate dussehra with enormous zeal.

Young people weren't bothered of what the day was. They will surely not pass it on to the coming generation.

People here celebrated Halloween work more enthusiasm.

Things have changed a lot in various parts of the country. People are extremely liberal about sex in metro and and upcoming metro cities too. It is hard to change the orthodox mindset but the young generation is much open than the previous ones.

Is Urjit Patel right in choosing growth over inflation ?

Mr Rajan would have been more cautious perhaps to the frustration of the government. Perhaps thats why he is not there at RBI. It boils down to whether the rate cut is even transmitted to create the growth and how equitable is that growth. Else, inflation hits the poor hard and also the real savings rate would get deeper into negative territory leaving millions impoverished further including the most vulnerable like the retired people who live on savings.
