A constant discussion has happened over simultaneous elections for State Assemblies and Parliament. What is stopping it from happening? Implementation or Intention

Ashat had posted

If concurrent elections in the assemblies and LS were to be a reality, its benefits bring with itself some challenges too, one of them being requirement of political dive

There are various metris like:
1) Once the Election Commission releases the dates for elections, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) would be operational and important works like inauguration of development works have to be withheld. With simultaneous elections, there would be overlap of days of MCC for State Assemblies and Parliament. With this the political leaders can concentrate more on development works without restrictions on all the other days.
2) Huge amounts of money can be saved with holding elections simultaneously.
3) There would be a good chance that voter percentage would improve drastically as there would be increased interest as even the Parliament elections are being held along with State level elections.
4) Having simultaneous elections would result in lesser time wastage for administrative departments such as the district authorities as they have to gear up for elections only once against each time it is being held.

The Western caricature of Chinese internet firms needs a reboot

What most MNCs missed about Chinas tech space is the ownership, you simply cant reply on a bunch of less incentivized managers, no matter expats or local hires who typically are only granted a small number of stock options and less likely to climb up the corporate ladder than the home market employees. On the flip side, the homegrown champions business success are well aligned with employees financial interests and career. How could you expect the dominant player in such a big country not those of the Chinese people, for the Chinese people and by the Chinese people. After all, the gap is not as big as expected in terms of the quality of service and products, while its also narrowing.

Despite Bommai judgment the misuse of Article 356 is taking place, the Judiciary can and should stop its misuse

Implementing the suggestions suggested by Sarkaria commission and Justice Venkatachaliah Commission who have said that the “federalism” needs to be strengthened even at the cost of more decentralization and greater regional autonomy, to prevent the disintegration of the nation through violence and anarchy is a way to solve this issue. There can be various other ways like: it should be used very sparingly, in extreme cases, as a measure of last resort, when all other alternatives fail to prevent or rectify a breakdown of constitutional machinery in the state. The spirit of "co-operative federalism" can preserve the balance between the Union and the states and promote the good of the people

Can the debt-fuelled model of growth cope with ageing populations?

So much money is encouraged by successive Governments, into property and building, for a short term tax take of stamp duty and VAT rather than into wealth creation, that the economy is not and cannot gain equilibrium. Then that money stays tied up for countless years or more. Private property ownership and/or private land lords have mind blowing amounts tied up forever in property. That does not happen in any other major economy. Those funds must be released back into the economy. Old people are not to blame for being prudent and keeping back enough money so as not to be a burden on family or society.
