Good dictator is better than a bad democratic setup

Cincinnatus was a famous one, although he was granted the role not once, but twice. He completed the job he was employed as dictator to do, and then he gave up power and went back to his farm as soon as he was done. Sounds like a top bloke and well worth reading about.

Global warming the greatest scam in history - John Coleman, Co-founder Weather Channel

Pranay had posted

The earth hasn't gotten hotter and hotter as the years pass, as a matter of fact, no global warming has occurred for over 18 years now, and the warming period was similar

While I don’t completely disagree, however Ice at North pole has receded but it has nothing to do with "global warming" It has shrunk due to a geological event blasting warmth from below towards crust. In turn the polar Ice did show a massive reduction. In antarctica ice sheet did increase. Do not automatically assume you have 100% of the information, instead you can actually check using yahoo or google before calling people idiots.

Women are part and parcel of our society. Nations, policies or leadership wont change even if more women become the head of state.

I have seen many men act with compassion well over and above many die hard liberal feminists. Though there are traits that are commonly gender inherent, a one size fits all approach to a multifaceted issue is not going to cause the validation that's desired. Ending gender bias is not accomplished by continuing it from the other side any more than ending racial prejudice is accomplished by reversed prejudice. We are better than this. Don't lump all women together under one umbrella.

There are some surprising and unpleasant downsides to thinking you are the centre of the universe. We living through a narcissism epidemic

Narcissism has become an epidemic and it is sweeping through the west like a milignant cancer. Vlogging and viners are taking over the web and perpetuating a culture which prides itself on the talentless sharing their feelings. Teenagers cant eat a ham sandwich without taking a photo and sending it to their friends and insecure men and women have to have Facebook displaying pictures of them photographing themselves looking in a mirror. Its weird and I dont like it. When the most desirable family on earth are the Kardashian/Jenner/Wests and Donald Trump is a Presidential candidate we have officially reached Dystopia.

Google's applications still take manual decisions. We are not ready for AI decisions

The problem with curated text is that the text itself must change to suit the curation. Its not enough any more to curate a list of ten blue links or ten news stories and then let the reader sort through them to find out the information. The raw text itself has to be prepared and curated by humans with the purpose of curation in mind. Consider ten articles written about John Lennon and how much repetition each one would have. The article format itself is the problem curation on the web works better as a database, snippets that are curated first, and then joined together by data. Check Googles search pages they are a mishmash of links, news, videos, and shopping. They doesnt tell a story because *Google can only collect what is already out there*. Curation isnt some add on, but much deeper. the entire product, from first to last must tell a story
