Kejriwal alleges huge scam behind demonetisation, isn't it obvious yet needed

Obviously BJP had taken care of its black money and obviously this has led to a system of commissions and provided a fillip to black money, yet this was needed.

Was there a better way to deal with this?

Trump won, Do people love Trump or hate Hillary more?

People dislike her because she's corrupt, she setup a private email server and sent classified emails on an unsecured medium. The Clinton foundation has served as a pay to play where people donate to get access.

Capitalism Creates Pointless Jobs, Snap Out Of It

To get the public focus what we need is going to take a government that is not ruled by the wealthy. Right now, all of the wealth is locked up in the pockets of the 1%, so how do we free up a reasonable enough of this stored wealth to stimulate and therefor benefit the economy with a higher employment rate? Why must we leave this job creating technical apparatus to be run by the wealthy and powerful, whose practiced fraud and corruption have got us where we are today? Why can't the unions and the workers be in charge of their unions, workers, and the laws that ensure their survival? These conditions were not created by the worker because he was to lazy to work! Why elect the wealthy when they always steal our jobs? It is the macro economics of greed and corruption happening in secret amongst politicians that have destroyed the American worker, nothing but greed and corruption.

Is Russia powerful enough to re-create a Cold War like situation?

US - Russia look at international politics from clash of capitalism- communist angle. Its major evidence is recent ceasefire violation on Syrian issue. Putin on one hand and Obama on another hand are more assertive and there is greater trust deficit at leadership level . Russia look towards US pivot to Asia policy as a balancer to its rising hegemony in region. Russia cannot be assertive due to its own fluctuating economic situation, lack of much support at international fora like UN however, some scholars think Russia still have assertive role to counter US by playing China card and maintaining hegemony in South Asia . Still cold war exist according to some analyst which could have impact on developing nations like india which have to move cautiously to maintain balance between the two keeping its own Panchsheel principles

As far as law is concerned, scam for 100 rupee is also a crime and scam for 100 crores is also a crime. So If BCCI is proven guilty then they have to be booked under the law. We cannot dilute the process of supreme court. And for sake of BCCI's loss supreme court will not review its decision. So taking soft stand merely for the losses of BCCI will put a question mark on status of supreme court as the custodian of the constitution.

India has always boasted about its cultural diversity, but looking at our surroundings can we actually be sure about the concept of "Unity in Diversity"?

You are right that SriLanka tried to impose one language across the nation which india has not, though making Hindi a national language was in the blueprint of newly independent India but we could not make it because of vehement opposition from Dravidian parties. We can see across the world that diversity can not be the strength, it can be neutral at the best. Take our example- we can not have a national language because we have so many languages, we can not have uniform civil code because we have many religions(two which have diametrically opposite views) and uniform civil code might hurt their religious feelings.

It is high time we start thinking on how to make HAL more lean and divide it into different govt. entities

If HAL is incompetent despite so much going for it then multi-furcating HAL would only yield more incompetent units. My take is that there are more than enough pockets of good work over there. But there is not enough focus on things that should have mattered. The helo division if allowed to grow would have been able to strike real partnerships with the French and we could have avoided the stupid helo decision for Chinooks and Apaches. Now merely because the aircrafts making division thinks it should be allowed monopoly on MMRCA, the french keep coming up with crazy speculative discounts/addons. But this in no way addresses the inherent competence in the Helo division. This does not mean that the aircrafts making side of the business is not good enough. Aircrafts making itself is bound by the overall lopsided development cycles that are a net result of the merry-go-round that IAF indulges in. OTOH at one time even the helo division was not looked at with favour like when the ALH was refusing to fly. Who knows with the Sitara and LCA, the aircrafts division may itself begin to show signs of good health bogged down by the advisors for the aircrafts division.

Should we be looking at a second term for Pranabda? Looks like the PM is sending a message to his own backbenchers and Nagpur.

Even Pranabda's eagerness to sign Uttarakhand and Arunachal seemed like being part of a transaction. Pure speculation of an idle mind. But not unfounded. Something is brewing... Could it be an ordinance - to circumvent the legal constitutional issues in holding a joint parliamentary & state elections the PM has been desiring for long? These are dangerous waters

Every National Media ensures manipulation of the news for its own propaganda. It’s vital to look at all media, including the UK’s, with a critical eye

What I never see mentioned in these discussions is its an article of faith among Cubs fans that sportscasters on national TV networks are biased against the Cubs. So whenever a game is broadcast on Fox or NBC, you can guarantee you will hear critical comments about the Cubs players and management. I believed this too however I was surprised to find that Cardinals fans feel the same way, network sportscasters are biased against their home team too! It turns out its a universal phenomenon. The way I see it is, we dont think too much about comments that accord with our own beliefs. We let those pass by, thinking "well of course!" But when we hear something that clashes with our beliefs, we really notice it.

If India has to go for a two fronts war against China and Pakistan

Pakistan has not declared any no-first-use nuclear policy and there is no chance of that in future. With Pakistan lurking in the west we wont be able to concentrate on China fully and we would be more vulnerable to them than in one-one situation. So it would be logical to go full offensive against Pakistan. Indias priority should be to launch a massive air-attack on Pakistan as soon as war is declared to neutralize its air-force and capability to retaliate with missile attack. It will be a very difficult task and simply not possible if India dont have long drawn plan and complete knowledge of Pak air-bases, missile lunch pads and other strategically important locations. At least India can ensure intensity of Pak attack to be less and to be dried down within couple of days. In 1965 PAF surprised India by attacking air-bases in north India and India was caught off-guard. But later PAF sorties over Indian territory dried down after few days intense air-war due to Indias numerical supremacy. It would be the most crucial part of the war and Indias success will be dependent on it. So IAF has to keep itself prepared for any such thing. At no conditions china would be allowed to use Pakistani air-bases. Indian Navy will have dual task. Preventing Pakistans Naval fleet from entering Indian Ocean as fast as possible. PAF will have little chance to provide air coverage to its navy as they would be totally engaged countering IAF . And Pakistan has no aircraft carrier. With Brahmos and Mig-29, naval LCA operating from an Aircraft carrier it must not be a difficult task for Navy. But PN submarines will be troublesome. There must be massive hunting for them. Wiping out PN and block Karachi wont be that difficult comparing with the task of nutralising PAF. If India has to force Pak top guns to solve it in discussion table Navy can go for Commando operation in korachi of course after crashing the pak resistance their with the help of air-force. But that will enrage Pakistan to go for a nuclear attack provided they are still capable of that.
