Ask Me Anything session with Bawa and Dinesh

Quoting from one of your answers on another QnA website, you said that after your first course of Art of Living, you realized that you became more compassionate and happy, and less of an "intellectual idiot". What exactly do you mean by the term "intellectual idiot?"

With today's tweet, Kejriwal would have lost a huge support base

I think when Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan left AAP, it lost a huge support base and today they lost even more followers.

India is dying of thirst, can we please talk about it?

We have seen Latur, that too was lucky to get some media attention. We are seeing what's happening in Tamilnadu and Karnataka

22 out of 32 major cities in India suffer from a water shortage. E.g. Jamshedpur has a 70% gap between demand and supply. Faridabad, Meerut, Kanpur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Madurai and Hyderabad have a shortage of 30%.

Delhi needs 415 crore litres of water everyday byt gets only 315 crore litres. 100 Crore litres short.

Central ground water board report here in Jharkhand says that ground water level is going down by 6 feet every year. Ranchi wouldn't be left with any ground water in 10 years and yet its identified only as semi critical zone. Dhanbad and Ramgarh are identified as critical zones.

It is estimated that by 2030 India will have a 50% demand and supply gap.

Latur can turn into a ghost town pretty soon if it doesnt rain now. The administration is able to provide only 6 litres of water everyday to public through rationing. 6 litres, is 4 large bottles of sprite or coke.

It is not justified to bring Indian history in the perspective while discuss contemporary Indian problems

World has changed a lot in last one and a half decade and so has India. When we discuss current Indian problems like Caste system, Hindu-Muslim friction, economy etc. how justified it is to bring history of India in the perspective.

Shouldn't we just talk about the rights and wrongs and present solutions?

Twitter struggling as an entity even as it starts to dictate political discourse in India

Twitter has much more in its bucket than shaping political discourse in India. It has been at the core of uprising in Tunisia and then complete Arab spring. It is live feed for any match being played around the world. When bombs went off during the Boston Marathon, in April of 2013, users sat glued to the feed, suddenly privy to something visceral and real, something happening.

Twitter has problems now, yes, there is no denial. It has problem of discovery, its crowded, information flow is not very clear which is affecting its numbers. Dick at Twitter did a shitty job and in that era, twitter lost its direction for future.

It might have come down from $36bn to $12bn but that might not correct judgement. Linkedin acquisition has show this. Twitter with google makes perfect sense, and google would be the first open to bid for it, if it fails to make a clear path for profits.

1. I doubt many Chinese today even think of the Korean war. I doubt if any Chinese even know what the Yalu river represents. Most chinese resent NK and the real skelton in the closet is China's disasterous intervention in 1971 with Vietnam. For all of China's blustering it's military has become a tool of repression used by the government to bully its own citizens, Tibet, and its neigbours. It's fighting capabilities are untested and suspect.

2. The situation with the USA and israel is not comparable. Israel (whether true or not) represents a bastion that can be counted on to protect US Islamic allies and big business oil. There are deep economic protection interests at paly with US support of Israel. The same cannot be said for China-NK where NK is a total economic drain on China.

The real issue with China and NK is that if you want to be a real super power, you have to use that power in a meaningful way. Allowing NK Korea to act with impunity and allowing Asian allies to obtain advanced US weaponry because of that reckless ally undermines China's claim that it is a real responsible superpower.

Then thrown in China's ridiculous actions in the south china sea and you can see parallels between how NK and Chian behave ... birds of a feather ...
