Is there a structural inevitability to the destruction of our environment ?

An odd-even here and there, is all we are able to do to focus attention on our urban environment. While we continue to inhale toxins everyday in the big cities. what more shall it take for us to wake up. Maybe we shall wait till the cities shut down

Particularly dangerous is the way agriculture, soil and environment are getting mixed in a toxic cocktail which is a clear inevitable race to the bottom of destruction

"structural inevitability to the destruction of our environment" if the structure you are talking about is man-made then it is surely evitable. Likes of Elon Musk will do so.

If you are saying that this structure is natural and was bound to happen then certainly that's not true.

I meant structural from the way livelihoods, transport, and agriculture are caught in a vicious cycle of low productivity and greater environmental damage in quest for the elusive growth in developing countries like ours.

But even if you have long term optimism stemming from a technological disruption. are you saying that we just wait for the fruits of that disruption to start impacting our lives ? 10 years , who knows ? 20 ?
