Is Oyo creating a safe space for unmarried couples to take rooms ?

Is this the right issue to raise a moral storm ? If one's business is to impose one's sense of morality on others, then surely this is. Or is it just opening up of greater choices for urban Indians.

Nope, they are not safe. They are cheap and you will feel eyes prying on you. All of them will be judging you and your loved ones. Is that what you really want? But the price is nice, I have tried oyo a lot, specially in gurgaon, and my experience was horrible, They have some issues in terms of controlling end user experience, but what they offer is pretty good for the price they charge. Our service expectations have to be in sync with the price we pay.

Oyo is a good option and a really really affordable one considering you get complete privacy. You get almost all basic amenities and most of the time its well worth it as you dont care about that extra services if you are just planning to spend the day in complete privacy. They have good quality listings in Delhi. If you read the reviews , most people staying are foreigners as its meant for hosting but lot of Indian people do stay ,who want their own privacy.

I had the worst experience with OYO, A confirmed booking was rejected upon arrival by the hotel staff, was sent to another OYO hotel, no booking there either, no intimation, explained the situation to OYO support, was sent to another OYO hotel, all this at midnight in Gurgaon. The point you have made makes so much sense - calling oneself a technology company doesnt mean making an app and doing nothing about the actual service. Its really sad to see highly funded companies completely ignoring the end users experience. Whats worse is that OYO is not the only one. Lets just hope for the best and hope that people make proper use of the resources: money & technology!
