Is nationalism more important than freedom of dissent?

Sudhanshu , Live and let live Oct, 13 2016

Aditya Meduri shouldn't you questioned be framed the other way round i.e Is freedom of dissent more important than nationalism.

Let me ask you something, If you are annoyed at your dad for some reason, what will you do? Complaint, argue, fight right and will not go to an extent of abusing him on the road. Will you?

PrimeMinister is the prime minister of the country not a party. As Rahul Singhla said, there is a way of dissent.

This is an extremely important discussion.

Perfect point to discuss where is the line drawn.

Anti-Govt voices should have enough voices, but when these voices resonate with each other it can create massive cracks in the society.

There is a way of protesting, the way they burnt effigy Modi/AmitShah etc. faces they might not be seditious or anti national, but a concious mind would say that institution must react to this.

In a bigger picture, nationalism is more important than freedom of dissent. But not in the way we are perceiving dissent and nationalism.

Jnu does not stand for liberty or dissent voice it stands for anti something and for somethings, hence the discrimination made

Also this discussion had both sides, people from Jnu and right wing people discussing this.

Are some of the educated youth and media houses deliberately sympathizing with the terrorist? #JNUunrest - AwareMonk
