Tibet

Community to discuss Tibet issue in detail. Bringing out the problems faced and seeking solutions and support.

Tenzin Shonu , A Tibetan in exile Sep, 16 2016

Exploitation of resources in Tibet will affect India badly in the future. Nationalist Indians should fight for Tibet to protect their own interest.

Supporting Tibet is in India's interest. The Chinese have been building dams over rivers that flow down to India; openly supporting Pakistan and opposing India in international forums.

By bringing Tibet to limelight like Balochistan, India can play a masterstroke.

Ashima Singh , Exploring Sep, 21 2016

In particular the damming practices carried out by the PRC are hugely detrimental to the water balance for not just India, but at least 4 Asian countries.

Yes, and we can rally here and make our voice heard around the world.

But can we bring about real change on the ground ?

Lobsang Tsering , Fighting for Free Tibet. Sep, 21 2016

We will bring real change Rohit. With our determination we have been able to keep our fight alive against the mightiest in the world. We will bring the change too, we need support and no one can be a better support than India. Tibet-India share spiritual synergy.

Tibet is politically important for India, Tibet is ecologically important for Indian, Tibet is economically important for India. India has done a lot to us and there is alot of respect in Tibetans for India as a country, when we establish our power back in our place we will have a lot to learn from India.

The way India is mobilizing the world against balochistan occupation, it should for Tibet to simultaneously. More so because that will put pressure on China to stay out of India-Pakistan issue.

Change will happen, we have been fighting for a long time now and we are not tired.

I think we can. Upon reading up on Tibetan issues and initiatives undertaken by Tibet support groups, what seems to be lacking isn't the drive or logic behind demanding change, but adequate visibility to get these changes enforced. One of the reputed groups had launched a petition in 2011, for freeing one of the Tibetan cultural scholars- the petition had just about 300 signatures. Hopefully with the amplification we can generate via Awaremonk we can multiply this number manifold and gather steam for the innumerable issues plaguing the Tibetans.
