Globalization and economic integration are the terms that are ruling in the realms of economic discussions across the globe and its impact on the societies and polities around the world are discussed .
This phenomena have led to a large scale migration of people from the rural areas to the urban in search of opportunities and have lead the governments across the world to focus on urban development which have led to a huge rural-urban divide .
This divide have been exploited by the different political parties to their advantage by arousing communal and cultural passion as seen in the recent Brexit Vote by the people of Britain to leave the European Union to the economic crisis in Venezuela of its inability to manage social welfare due to the effects of Globalization in the form of crippling oil prices .
All these events points out to the inequality of the distribution of wealth between the rich , skilled , professional AND of the poor ,unskilled ,unprofessional ,which is rising at a rapid pace due to the flaws in the policy makers around the world .
Democratization of political organization ,modern political institutions like parliament and state assemblies ,PRIs,Judiciary etc, introduction of civic values like equality ,fraternity, freedom, right to vote, universalization of politics, promotion to different groups in politics etc are the positive impacts but at the same time negative aspects like inequal gender representation ,lack of promotion of different groups, dynastic succession in politics ,caste and class based politics ,lack of internal democracy in political parties etc
Thus we can conclude that globalization has both integrative and disintegrative features. One side it integrate economy of a nation with the world but on the other side it disintegrate society through the processes likemigration, exclusion, exploitation, disagreements ,conflicts of interests and ideologies etc.
