China is not open to the world's internet, but the world is open to Chinese internet. What if China repeats its world dominance of manufacturing with internet too

China has successfully replicated everything internet has to offer and built its own version of it. Google, Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Paypal, Ebay and everything else. After duplication these companies have evolved in many different ways.

WeChat is the biggest example, one interface is whatsapp + twitter+ youtube+ hyperlocal+ google+ amazon + paypal and has humongous data which in a very scary fashion shared with the govt too.

But if chinese apps start to overtake over american apps, all over the world, won't China become the mightiest empire of the world. I am sure, giants in silicon valley must be worried about it.

Chinese cost advantages in manufacturing are rapidly disappearing wages are rising at double digit rates annually in the cities and China's available workforce shrank by 3 million last year, and will continue to shrink indefinitely due to demographics. Energy prices in China are already higher than in the US and its oil imports running at double-digit growth levels. The companies that prosper in the long-term will be those with the best record for innovation. There's no reason to believe that the rest of the world will be inferior to Chinese ones at these things, given their record as the source of almost all technological innovations in the modern

Some merit in the cost trends you highlight, but issuing in India, its tough to deny the complete dominance of Chinese manufacturing. Which new manufacturing base do you think shall take over ?

Anyways, this thread was in their looming software dominance.

Do you mean to say that Chinese software shall take over rest of world too like the American one has currently ?

Yes, they have succefull rip offs of everything which have now performed to work even better than the real ones, with more features more data, more personalisation.

I am saying they might take over the world by replacing american companies.
